Report: Italy says freezes 140 mln euro assets of Russian oligarchs
ROME, Mar 5 (PRIME) -- The Italian authorities have begun to seize the assets of Russian oligarchs in the country worth up to 140 million euros in total, Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said in an interview with the Rai 2 TV channel on Saturday.
“Italy has begun operations to seize about 140 million euros worth of assets of Russian oligarchs,” the minister said.
According to the il Sole 24 Ore newspaper, among the property that was arrested was a yacht worth 65 million euros, possibly belonging to the main owner of Severstal Alexei Mordashov.
